Size guide

Every item has its own measurements, on its own page.

Our clothes come from several makers and their sizes do not match each other — a size 100 from one supplier is not a size 100 from another. So rather than give you one chart that would be wrong for half the shop, we measure each piece ourselves and put the measurements on the product page.

How to use them

For children, measure a garment that already fits and lay it flat. That is easier than measuring a wriggling child and just as accurate. Compare it with the measurements on the page.

For yourself, measure over the underwear you would normally wear, keeping the tape snug but not tight.

• Chest or bust — around the fullest part
• Waist — around the narrowest part
• Hips — around the fullest part
• Length — from the shoulder seam straight down

Reading our measurements

Where a measurement is taken with the garment laid flat, we say so. A flat chest measurement of 25 cm means the garment measures 50 cm all the way around.

Everything is in centimetres. Items are measured by hand, so allow a centimetre or two either way.

Between two sizes?

For children, size up. They grow, and a slightly loose garment gets worn for far longer than a slightly tight one.

For yourself, it depends on the cut. Message us and we will tell you which way that particular piece runs.

What other buyers said

Where enough customers have told us how something fits, we show it on the product page — for example “9 of 11 buyers said true to size.”

Where a piece runs noticeably small or large, we say so on its page. Please read it. It is there because someone told us.

Jewellery

Chain lengths and ring sizes are on each product page.

Children’s jewellery should be worn with supervision and taken off at bedtime and nap time. Small beads and clasps can come loose.
